From Nebbiolo grapes of Bussia Soprana, the heart of the typical area of Barolo wine.
We can define Aldo Conterno as the soul of Barolo, with its company located in Monforte d'Alba in Bussia Soprana, where much of the land is located at an altitude of about 400 m above sea level
The story of his family began in the nineteenth century after a few years of living in Argentina.
It was then that Giovanni Conterno returned with his family to Monforte d'Alba in the small winery of his father Giuseppe, helping him in the local wine production and increasing the production of wine that was sold in barrels, also well not only in Piedmont and Liguria but also America thanks to a relative who still resided in Argentina.
The Conterno so felt the need to create, thanks to the demand of the market, a big Barolo to be produced only in the best years, with long fermentation can hold up over the years.
In 1920 he then began to bottle the reserve Barolo.
Since then, the activity continued, he passed on from father to son.
